Telesin has developed a smart solution for those who want to be able to film and take photos from a distance even when you are underwater . Traditional remote controls lose contact in water because radio signals are greatly attenuated. This stick solves this by moving the transmitter up next to the camera - so the signal has a minimal distance in water. You control everything comfortably from the handle, but communication takes place close to the camera. The result? Start/stop, mode change and time-lapse - in the pool, lake or sea.

How the underwater-friendly remote works

The handle itself contains the control buttons you use with your thumb: switch between photo/video/time-lapse and start/stop recording.
Up by the GoPro mount, on the telescopic part, is the transmitter module . When you pull out the stick, the transmitter follows – and always ends up close to the camera . The selfie stick is built for aquatic environments. Rubberized and ribbed grip surfaces provide a secure feel when hands are cold or wet. The friction-locking telescopic design allows you to quickly extend to the desired length – from 25 cm in the retracted position to 85 cm fully extended.

Standard GoPro mount

At the top is a standard GoPro mount . This means you can mount compatible cameras directly using the included long thumbscrew. The mount is stable, and the stick allows you to quickly adjust the angle before you start shooting.

The remote is charged via a magnetic charging connector in the handle ( USB-A to magnet cable included).

Tips for best results (good advice!)

Always rinse in fresh water for at least 5 minutes after salt water (sea), and dry with a towel.
Check the locking between the sections before jumping in – the pin should be securely locked in the desired position.
Try the remote buttons in shallow water first to get the feel.
In murky water or greater depths: keep the camera and transmitter module as close to each other as possible (i.e. pull out the stick so that the transmitter is just below the camera).
Use the wrist strap – extra important in waves/current.
Keep the charging connector dry when not charging. Make sure everything is completely dry before storing the product.
